Hello, I’m Sara Nieder, a licensed mental health clinician with nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals through emotional, relational, and psychological challenges. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver and have worked across a wide range of medical and psychiatric settings, including hospitals, schools, adoption agencies, and specialized eating disorder treatment centers.
Since 2014, my clinical focus has centered on the treatment of eating disorders. As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports both physical and emotional healing. My work in this area has allowed me to support individuals navigating complex relationships with food, body image, and self-worth.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and grounded in both somatic, body-based practices and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I recognize that trauma often lives not only in the mind, but also in the nervous system and body. Through EMDR and somatic therapy, clients can process traumatic experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and develop a greater sense of safety and stability. Together, we gently explore patterns, sensations, and emotional responses while supporting nervous system regulation and restoring connection and self-trust.
In the fall of 2025, I completed the InnerTrek Psychedelic Facilitator Training Program and am licensed by the State of Colorado to provide psychedelic-assisted therapy. I offer this work within a legal, ethical, and trauma-informed framework, supporting clients with preparation, integration, and therapeutic care in collaboration with a licensed healing center.
My heart lies in private practice, where I value the depth and continuity of individual therapeutic relationships. This setting allows me to create a safe, supportive environment and to tailor therapy to each client’s goals, needs, and pace, fostering trust and meaningful change over time.
Outside of my professional work, I am a proud mother of three and the devoted companion of my dog, Reggie. I find grounding and renewal through yoga and time spent exploring Colorado’s beautiful outdoors.
Whatever challenges you may be facing, you do not have to navigate them alone. I bring experience, compassion, and curiosity to the therapeutic process, and I am here to support you in reconnecting with your inner wisdom and moving toward greater balance and well-being.
believe that deep within each of us is an inner sage — a steady source of wisdom that helps us navigate life’s challenges. At times, stress, trauma, or overwhelming experiences can make it hard to hear that inner voice. My role is to offer gentle guidance and support as you turn inward, recognize what your body and emotions are telling you, and reconnect with the wisdom that allows you to live with greater meaning and fulfillment.
Embracing the wisdom within ourselves can open the door to gratitude, forgiveness, and courage. These qualities help us navigate life’s challenges and move toward the life we want to live.
